Kevin, Dan and Tim recap after the action packed week that brought a 2-1 loss on the road against DC United as well as the 3-1 win at home against Columbus Crew. Despite scoring early by Gressel, the back line was seemingly nonexistent against DC.  The conversation continues as to whether or not Mears continues to start. Kann showed up big with some key saves, but ultimately made a costly error alongside Parkhurst that the team never recovered from.  Ultimately the Columbus game was a success, and after 3 games as a substitution, the guys talk about Josef Martinez returning for a full 90 mins this week. They preview the upcoming Colorado Rapids  game on Saturday, and what the lineup changes may be. Kevin, Dan and Tim are here to bring you a weekly look at their hometown MLS team – Atlanta United FC. They look to bring their insights on the previous game, how the team has been doing, and looking forward to their next game of the week. Call into the show voicemail line – (678) 827-3297 – and let us know some thoughts on last week’s game, and what you’re looking forward to in the next game. Home Before Dark hearkens back to a time when you and your friends in the neighborhood were forced inside. Where you discovered a level of brotherhood/sisterhood that could only be forged through playing video games, watching movies, television and discussing the finer things in life over an Orange Lavaburst Hi-C and Bagel Bites. We take the time out to talk about the current games we’re playing, movies we’ve seen recently(new or old) and all the things in between. It’s almost that time. Tonight Kevin and Tim sit down to talk with Sean Price (@literallyseanprice), guitarist, bassist, gamer, ramen eater, and all around great guy from ERRA (@Erra_band).  The guys discuss potential new projects that are in the works for ERRA and what that creative experience is like for a band that has changed and evolved over the years.  They talk about what that means for musicians and fans of music as we get older and our tastes and preferences change.  In true Home Before Dark fashion, the boys go down the rabbit hole and talk Destiny, Diablo,  and gaming, whether or not PC or console reigns supreme.  Finally we talk about the straight-edge lifestyle and what it means for Sean personally.   Home Before Dark hearkens back to a time when you and your friends in the neighborhood were forced inside. Kevin and Tim sit down to discuss what music they’re listening to and some upcoming shows here in Atlanta, including AFI, Circa Survive, Hail the Sun, and others.  Slowly they find themselves in a touchy-feely conversation that explores what it means to have life goals, and also the paths that we follow in achieving them.  What it’s like to fail in those objectives, and how it makes us better for having at least attempted them.  They discuss the titles that we all give ourselves, and how they shape us as individuals.  Finally, how politics plays a role in all of that, and how they feel we should look at and treat each other on a broader scale.  They are joined briefly by a guest appearance by Dan who stops in the studio to really bring everything full circle. After over four years, and 99 shows on Banter/Home Before Dark, the boys eclipse the century mark. They bring back all the familiar voices that helped bring them to this point, and a new voice to ring in the new century. It’s been a long journey to get to this point. This episode hits on all the familiar subjects that you’ve come to love and expect from Home Before Dark. We talk with Dan James(@DanJamez), our very first guest we featured on the then Banter Podcast, to talk about his adoption of the city of Atlanta, what he thinks about Atlanta United FC and also future plans to have him back onto the show. We talk with Troy Giles(@PastorAlpha05) about what he’s been playing, and what he’s looking forward to seeing from E3. Up third, JP Dorigo(@ZombieJP), the closest thing to a regular we have on this show, joined us in studio to talk about how much fame this show has brought him and his future plans for adding to the library of the Home Before Dark Podcast Network. Last, we welcome a new voice to the show, Angie Coccoma(@AngieCoccoma). She talks with us about moving down to Atlanta for work as a Sea Lion trainer, but mostly about her integration into the city’s Free Art scene and her inspirations for her artwork. It’s good to be back! Now that the holidays have ended, and we strive to work off all the extra weight that they brought with them, we sit down to discuss what we’ve been watching, playing, and listening to over the last month.  Clemson is the new king of college football, so we would be remiss if we didn’t talk about it at least a little bit.  We also talk some NFL and the Antonio Brown controversy.  We recap our new years resolutions and what we’re trying to do this year after both of us had a successful run at keeping up with them in 2016.  We briefly discuss Arrival, but as to not spoil anything, we switch gears and talk 10 Cloverfield Lane.  We have a few concerts that we are both attending this weekend with Circa Survive and Run the Jewels, so we wax poetic about RTJ3 and just how we excited we are leading up to the show. It’s all over, folks! The votes are in, and the stage is set for the 45th President of the United States of America.  Donald J. Trump will take office and we as a nation are now collectively processing the events that have transpired over this past year.  In this episode we discuss not only Mr. Trump, but Hillary Clinton and Gary Johnson as well.  We give our thoughts on the election and what it has meant for each of us personally.  We talk about both the pros and the cons of each, and why we ultimately voted the way we did, or didn’t.  Whether you voted Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or wrote in Harambe, ultimately, this election and every one throughout history is what makes this country so great.  Our ability to ensure that every voice is heard, whether we agree or not, and to collectively move in a direction that is best for all of us.  This episode is about all of that.
